First, from the lovely Keladry:

1. Do you prefer your hair long or short, and do you like it right now?

I LOVE it short. It's flattering to my face, it's easy to care for and I don't even need to brush it most days. I wish it would stay short, but it does insist on growing. Right now, my hair is in that annoying in-between phase where it's too short to pull back, but long enough to get in my face. I am saving my sheckles for a good chop.

2. Have you ever finished a book and then wondered why you read the whole thing?

Yeah, though not often. I think the last one was a Mills and Boon type romance that was lying around a youth hostel in NZ. So long time ago. Much more recent is reading fics all the through and wondering why. I gave that up about a year ago, though. Time is too precious, as is sanity.

3. You've won the lottery. What are the five most important things you do?

(I'm assuming winnings that will net $1mil or more.) Find a lawyer. Arrange a trust. Put a good portion into a retirement fund, pay off every single iota of debt and then divvy up the rest between family (us three included), church, business interests and causes.

4. Favorite sweets or ice cream flavor(s)?

Sweets? Maple walnut fudge. Dark chocolate of foreign origin.
Ice creams: Coffee coffee coffee buzz buzz buzz by Ben and Jerry's, home-flavored mint-chocolate chip (take good vanilla, add about 10 drops peppermint extract/oil and stir up with chocolate shaving till soft serve textured).

5. Please use your favorite icon (besides your default) when you reply to this and tell me why you like it.

Because it sums up so much. And is hilarious. Anything that makes me laugh is good. (Note: this is what I chose today. Tomorrow it might be something else.)

The eeeeeennnnnnvy! And smugness that I have naturally what others buy! ;-) Seriously? I have no idea. I guess the excuse for my temper as a child.

4. If you could only paint pictures of one person, real or fictional, for the rest of your life, who would it be and why?

Myself, because I'm a willing model, my face is changeable enough to be interesting and narcissism is expected in an artist.

5. What do you consider to be your most useful talent/skill?)

The ability to discern my child's voice and cry from other kids, at this point. The ability to multi-task and organize is also very useful.
