You know, I find militant atheists really, really off-putting. Nearly as off-putting as Bible-thumpers.

Of course, I should just remain calm and let them have their say, but when they spew anti-religion rhetoric without any independent thought, it just gets my goat.

As anti-religious as I am (and I am VERY anti-organized-religion, and for nearly the same reasons that I am anti-corporatization), I do recognize that religions, even the ones I find scuzzy at best, do help their members in some way, otherwise they really wouldn't have members.

Not a good fit for me, but then again, I am not like everyone else. I AM an individual, as is everyone else. (I'm not!")

Yes, they do. I'm not saying it's healthy, because it often is anything but (hence why I'm so anti-religion), but there's something for everyone.

However... when religion crosses the line of the law, then they, like the abusive boyfriends, need to get hauled in for it.
