I did not make it to see Cowboy's & Aliens, but yes, that's pretty much how I spent my day. I think there were only two things this year that didn't make me want to turn my head from the schlock. 1. The images from space that put new perspective, both "oh shit you can see it from space" and "oh wow, it's just a tiny blip on a small globe in an infinite universe." 2. the chance many 'first responders' took to make this a conversation with their communities.
