Garden pics
Sep. 14th, 2011 05:41 pmSo, I found a picture from before I finished edging and weeding the back garden earlier this summer.

This is what it looks like now:

Of course, a good portion of the work isn't visible because either it's just soil amendment or cultivation or it's bulbs that won't come up for another six months.
But this is enough of a start to make me look forward to spring with anticipation. I want to see if everything works out prettily! I doubt the astilbe, or anything else, for that matter, will bloom next year (they certainly won't bloom of any worth copiously), but it'll be good to see if everything meshes together well.
But, of course, it is not by any means finished. The rock wall around the tree has to be built and filled and planted. The grape has to be pruned. The placements have to be refined. But, for the most part, it's getting to the point where I'm satisfied.
