"Happy Monday!"
Jan. 9th, 2012 05:33 pm...I say without being ironic or sarcastic or anything.
Now that the sun has set, I'm ready to go to bed so as to welcome Tuesday, but honestly, this has been a pretty good day despite lots.
Cooking projects took longer than expected last night, so I didn't get to bed until way too late (2 hours past when I wanted to go to bed). Still, I managed to get up only 45 minutes after the alarm went off, toddle around bleary-eyed until Geoff and Page were off, and then drink my first cup of tea while the strawberry jam I started the night before started simmering again. (An hour and a half, my ass.)
Then, after having a laid back morning playing online crosswords and such, I got my stuff together and went off for arting! In this case, it was even to paint! And it was quite a satisfying painting session, too, with one gift painting near completion and another painting ready to start the glazing process. Yay!
Came home, got the jam into the sterilized jars and now only have a few things left on my to do list for the nonce. Granted, I am now feeling the exertion of the last two days, as well as the sleep deprivation, so I'm pretty tired. However, I think I can manage to put the yogurt on and put the sheets on to wash before I give up for the day. *nods*
Yesterday I managed to get the family out for a walk, cook for the week (or so), and take the Christmas tree and decorations down. All of which, walk excepted, took place while Geoff and Page watched the Broncos win in the shortest overtime ever (or thereabouts). (11 seconds!) Which means that the football season is going to last at least one more week. Probably only one more week, really, as I think Brady will outdo Tebow once again. Though it would be exciting if the Broncos did win...
Anyhoo, need to go do my stuff before I go get Page from school. Boy I love this after-school program. And what I really love is that Page loves it, too!
Oh, and a moon meme:
You were born during a First Quarter moon
This phase occurs in the middle of the moon's waxing phases, after the new moon and before the full moon.

- what it says about you -
You test everything. You're sometimes unhappy with what others think is "good enough". You point out things you see wrong with the world, even if others are afraid it may cause some unrest. When something isn't right, you're the one who's not afraid to make dramatic changes. You're good at keeping your head in a crisis and reminding people that it takes a shakeup to fix things.
