I heard a bird this morning. Chirping. As if it were spring.

*looks at date*

WTH?

Granted, this has been an incredibly mild and weird winter. Reminds me of the winter in Chicago when I was living there (mildest in 150 years).

Too bad for me, 'cause I like the snow. Except when it makes 6 foot high snow dikes... Which are really hard to see over in my low-rider (Camry).

We're supposed to get another 2 inches of snow tonight, but then it will warm up again, and only the shadiest places will have patches of ice remaining. Just like last time.

Bleh. If it's going to be winter, I want snow, dammit! Otherwise, I want the green to return so we don't have the muddy brown blahs to look at.

And now I should go do my homework. And then paint, though from home today. Page is home sick (he had a four hour nap yesterday evening, then went right to sleep after dinner!), so I shall be keeping the outings to a bare minimum today. Which means I won't be restarting the photo meme as I planned. Bummer.

Gotta go. :-(

It has been a mild winter here, too, all things considered. Makes me scared that maybe we are going to be hit with it all late, like in Feb/March. By that time I am usually craving springs arrival.

We get birds chirping all winter long! We have quite a lot of sparrows and great tits here (who tend to be chirpy) and this winter, surprisingly many blackbirds have stayed around as well.

If it's going to be winter, I want snow, dammit! Otherwise, I want the green to return so we don't have the muddy brown blahs to look at.

This is exactly the way I feel about winter. I'd much rather have a decent amount of snow and a steady -10°C than temperatures around/above freezing and nothing but mud. (Not to mention that it's really dark here in the winter without snow.)

It probably is as our summer has been cold and miserable. Our first day of true summer was yesterday, today looks okay to, and it's more than 1/2 way over. WTH indeed.

Loves you, Sonia :)
