So, I don't suppose it's possible to have the delegates divided so evenly that no one gets the nomination? That would be so cool. And it would also showcase how undemocratic our country really is when it comes down to it, as the party leaders would then decide who gets the nomination, delegates or no.

In the meantime, I am quietly, and very warily, rooting for Santorum simply because I think he's unelectable against Obama. Though I'm not really sure of that, so I'm mostly keeping my trap shut. I really would love a three-way between Santorum, Romney and Gingrich, though. Ron Paul can go fuck himself, if only because that would be a fair representation of what Libertarians are all about.

ION, Page has a very holey mouth. He finally exfoliated* his first top front tooth, so he now has three gaps. He's much, much more cheerful now, thank goodness. Losing teeth is such an uncomfortable process. (He's also feeling much better since the antibiotics kicked in. He's regained his appetite, color in his cheeks and general vim, thank goodness.)

*I found out yesterday that the proper term for shedding teeth is exfoliation. To exfoliate one's tooth. Ew, right?

It's a beautiful, sunny morning out, so I think I will finally be able to restart the photo meme today. I'm going to wait a little bit so the sun is a bit higher in the sky (and hopefully the sky will be a bit bluer than it currently is), but I should be able to get the photo taken before class.

Watched the first episode of "The No. 1 Ladies' Detective Agency" last night. I like it (even if they changed it from Precious selling some of her daddy's cattle to start the business to all of them. Harrumph. I also pictured Mr. JLB Maketoni as taller...) I need to look up where it was filmed. I hope it was filmed in Botswana.

My risers are in place, and they all (now) work quite well, if I do say so myself. I'll take a picture today and show them off. I had to remake one of the back ones because the original one was too small (being butt-ugly wasn't an issue because it was for the back). No idea how that happened, but, eh. Anyway, I remade it last night (only pretty-like, this time), Geoff put it on and it's all happiness now.

It's even more happiness because I did not maim or kill myself in the process of making it. It was a close thing, though. I was cutting down the original one on the chop saw to get a firm measurement on the riser block, when it was wrenched from my hand and thrown into the corner of the room. Thanks goodness that saw blade spins backwards, or I would have landed myself in the hospital with broken ribs!

*counts blessings rather fervently*

Hmm... what else? I see my rheumy today after school. That'll be... uninteresting, I hope. Don't see any reason for it to be particularly interesting, anyway. I'm mentally compiling all my complaints, but I know I'll forget something when I actually go to write the list down.
On the plus side, I think that my wandering infection has been scared off by Page's antibiotics, so that's good. (I really do need to work on my psychic boundaries...)

Anything else? Oh, I've just started "Death Comes to Pemberley" by P.D. James. I'm only halfway into the first chapter, so I have yet to form a reasonable opinion, though her storytelling style is going to take a bit of getting used to. Austen, she is not. But then, it's fanfic. If I keep that in mind, I'm sure I'll enjoy it, whatever her style.

May your day be bonny and blithe.

As far as I know, it was filmed in Botswana, yes.

Did you have time to post the paintings, btw?

Looking at imdb, it sure does look like it was filmed on location! Coolness!

YES! I have been intending to email you since Monday (bad me!), when I actually sent it out. It should be there in time for Valentine's day, though that would depend on the British portion of the posting. And customs.

PS: Please don't judge me by my box-making skillz. I wanted to use the heavy-duty cardboard, so it's ugly, but should be quite safe. If taped to within an inch of its life... ;-)

It took me through the prolog and into the next chapter or two to get into the groove of her writing for this book. Still not quite sure what I think . . . . love to chat with you about it when you finish.

Yeah, those first chapters are rather clunky. I'm only on chapter 2, now (or is it 3?), but I would also love to chat when I finish!
