It turns out the financial aid letter wasn't a fuck up, it was just the school's roundabout way of telling me I got a (random?) scholarship. Which is cool, but no less confusing.
Maybe I should check my email again to see if there's some sort of explanation that I missed?

ETA: Ah. Looked it up, and it's a need-based scholarship, so nothing to do with my being awesome. *pouts for two seconds* Ach well. Still, free money is always good!
