This week hasn't been a particularly bad one, in fact, it's been fairly decent. But I woke up this morning just wanting it to be over. I don't want to go to school. I don't want to be awake. (All together now:) I don't want to work, I want lie on the heat all day...

Geoff gave me a back massage last night because I started having cramps during dinner. I took magnesium and niacin to ease the cramps and restless leg syndrome, respectively, and the massage was very nice.

This morning when I went to rub my lower back tightness, Geoff pushed my hands away, gave a bit of a rub and exclaimed, "Your back is even tighter this morning!"

*sigh*

I don't wanna spend the tax refund (and scholarship) on chiropractor, massage therapist and doctor bills. Don't wanna, don't wanna, don't wanna! /whine

On the plus side, I at least know what did it. I'm pretty sure that it was the sitting around all day yesterday that caused my back to go fubar, so I'll be moving around a lot more today. Beyond all the moving I need to do to get around school, I've also been using the two-tennis-balls-in-a-sock-against-the-wall trick to try and massage the worst of it out, giving my legs a nice workout at the same time.

In other ways of stalling news, all the snow we got is now gone. It was an absolutely gorgeous day yesterday. Well, I heard it was, anyway. I spent the day inside, reading old fanfics, as I'd had a yen to read Manchecouerum again. And that led to other favorites, and, yeah, the day was whiled away fairly pleasantly, if uselessly.

But anyway, with the snow being gone, I can see that the daffodils are definitely up in the back yard, though still about a month away from blooming, I expect. I'm looking forward to seeing the crocuses bloom, though that also looks to be a couple weeks away.

And, as the most definite sign of Spring arriving, there was a fly in the house yesterday. A very lethargic, easy to kill fly, but a fly all the same.

So I've got to get my Christmas Spring cards ready to send, to let people know that I'm thinking about them, even if I'm waaaaay behind the times.

Fortunately, my Spring Break is next week. So I'll have time to do that. Unfortunately, Geoff is flying off to California for that week, so I'll be doin' the (brief) single parent thing. Ach well. Perhaps I'll actually get the cooking done ahead of time and not have to cook all week, giving myself a rest? *snickers*

Anyway, I need to get my tea made, do some more tennis ball rolling (now that my back is thoroughly warmed up) and do my homework before skedaddling to class. Hopefully the quiz today will only cover what he's said it will cover, as I still haven't finished reading this chapter. Gotta say, corporations might just be worse than inventory, though perhaps not quite as boring.

*questions my major again*

Ciao!

Sometimes the single parent thing can actually be restful.

I hope your back gets better soon.

Yes, and I'm hoping that's the case for this week. I'm not looking forward to the morning ritual, but ach well. I'll survive.

Thanks! It has improved with massage and motion. Sitting is so bad for it, it's a shame most of my activities involve that.
