Today's apod is neat.
Explosive Eighteen has a fight scene that made me laugh so hard it gave me a migraine. Still have the headache, but it was probably worth it.
Actually, I think the headache is a reaction headache. And I'm really not happy about it if I'm reacting to the avocados as I think I am. (That would be cruel and unusual punishment, body! You hear me?)
Or else I'm coming down with a mutation of what Geoff's had/has. Which might just be allergies gone wild. (The grossest TV show out there.) Hmm. Might be worth it to take a benadryl and knock myself out for the day.
On the plus side, when, last night, I started feeling very queasy, I remembered to take a couple of activated charcoal pills, and they really helped. I don't know what my stomach was doing, but the charcoal seemed to have successfully absorbed what was upsetting it. So that was nice.
(Bad side was that I wasn't able to take my evening meds, because the charcoal would just absorb them. Ach well. At least being half a day late for a dose isn't going to kill me.)
Oh, and did I mention that it's Page's spring break this coming week? And, of course, it's finally going to rain. All. week. long. Fun times. Though I'll be glad to have the rain. We're really dry out here, and we desperately need the water. The rivers are at mid-summer levels, it's been so dry this winter and spring. Actually, that's what they were at the beginning of March. No idea what their levels are now.
Meanwhile, I've been judiciously watering and feeding my garden, and I'm super happy that it seems only one fern hasn't shown signs of life. I haven't given up on it yet, but, even if it has derooted itself up to Eden, I'm pleased that it's the only one!
It also turns out that I only managed to transplant half (the middle half, at that) of my front lady fern. So I'll have a nice showing of fern out front as well as out back, despite the upheaval. Although, if the fern that might not have survived didn't actually survive, I'm thinking of transplanting the rest of the front fern into its spot. *nods*
Anyhoo. I should go read up on theory x and theory y before the benadryl kicks in. Have a paper to write today or tomorrow based on that. Unfortunately, the paper I want to write is beyond the scope of the assignment (and time given), as I would (kinda) like to research which is the most effective management style for non-neurotypical kids, given that theory x is definitely proving to be the more accurate assumption for Page, despite my theory y leanings. And I don't think it's just because he's seven. However, that would require tons more research than I have time for, beyond not really being on assignment anyway.
Ach well. Two weeks left. Then the semester is over. And boy, am I looking forward to summer vacation. Oh. Yes.
Cheers!
