The tricky thing about the whole healing process is that, as the body gets healthier, the rules change.

Well, not the rules, per se, but the application of the rules.

>For instance, last week I went off all my supplements because my stomach was not terribly happy. I still have no idea if it was just a coincidence that my stomach improved by the next day (everyone else in the house had been feeling kinda funky, too) or if the supplements had a great deal to do with the distress.

Besides a few hitches here and there, I've been feeling wonderful all week.

Today, I decided to start taking a few of the supplements again: B-complex (the kind I can tolerate), niacin and iron (that didn't upset my stomach before).

As the morning wore on, my stomach got worse and worse.

However... It's possible today's distress is from something I ate yesterday (I had quite a few dates, for example). It's possible it's from the salad I've been eating again (raw leafy greens have always been touchy for me). Or, it's possible my stomach just can't handle the supplements anymore.

I have been eating an awful lot of chopped liver/pâté lately... I might actually be getting sufficient amounts of everything through my food... Wouldn't that be awesome? But, well, I don't think that's the case as my craving for tea has been off the charts this last week, which signifies that I'm missing some nutritional element or other.

See what I mean about rules changing?

In other news, Page seems to be enjoying school so far, which is excellent. He's had all green smiley faces since school started (Aug 27), and I even remembered to reward him for his first full(ish) week of good behavior. (go me!)

I happen to be enjoying my school as well, although the bloody big book is bloody big and heavy. I still need to order a book stand for use at home so I don't destroy my back over the course of the year.

I should go and start reading the chapter for tomorrow's class right now, except my tummy upset has made me all lazy. I want to read "Dudley Demented" instead.

Ach well.

Hope all of you are doing well. It's hump day! Yay!

It would be fantastic if you didn't need supplements any more! This sounds like such an improvement and I am happy for you.

Happy too that Page is enjoying school.
