Headache has shifted from withdrawal headache to sinus headache. I suspect it's been a sinus headache all along, really, but refused to show its teeth until I was sufficiently withdrawn from tea.

Nasty blighter.

Ah well. I am drinking loads of water, I have taken a mucinex (and hopefully won't have a bad reaction; decongestants and I historically don't get along very well), I've had a cup of my cold/flu brew (if it has floaters, it does NOT count as tea!), and when I dropped Geoff off at the airport, I went and got poked (with needles), since I was in the neighborhood anyway. I think things did start shifting after an hour's nap in there. Hopefully this all-out assault will flush the headache away. I suspect I really need more sleep, but I need to do my homework before I can allow myself that respite. There's a quiz tomorrow and I didn't do too well on the last quiz (94%).

Anyway, as a way to stall for a few minutes longer, here's that house meme that's been going around.

1. What kind of soap is in your bathtub right now?
Dove sensitive skin bar and Dr. Bronner's liquid tea tree oil castille soap

2. Do you have any watermelon in your refrigerator?
Ew. No.

3. Is there anything moldy in your refrigerator?
Probably.

4. What would you change about your living room?
Let me count the ways... New desk (plans are there!), new sofa, an Ikea Poang chair (comfy!), finish putting up baseboard, repaint the walls (color as yet undecided), and paint another series of good sized paintings to replace the line of photos on the walls. *nods* And maybe a custom bookshelf or two, as well.

5. Are the dishes in your dishwasher clean or dirty?
Clean (need to put them away at some point.)

6. Do you have a can of mushrooms in your pantry?
Canned vegetables are disgusting.

7. White or wheat/brown bread?
Almond flour focaccia. I guess that counts as brown, right?

8. What is on top of your refrigerator?
Over a greasy layer of dust, there are nesting ceramic mixing bowls, a large stock pot, the storage container for my food processor blades, and a box of medjool dates. Then there is a wire rack above those items, where I store my Big Brown Betty, tea tray, wine glasses and bamboo steamer.

9. What color is your sofa?
Well... The majority is a cool grey (covered by a cream comforter), but a couple of the cushion covers I made had to be tossed (silly putty is evil), so the original dirty pink/blue/beige stripes show at one corner.

10. What color or design is on your shower curtain?
Clear with lots of water spots.

11. How many plants are in your home?
Lots. Ten right now, but it's likely to go up as I propagate the Swedish ivies.

12. How many candles are in your home?
Dozens of tea lights, but I only use them during power outages.

13. Is your bed made right now?
Nope. Need to strip the bed, in fact.

14. If you have a coffee pot, what color is it?
Does a French press count?

15. Electric or standard can opener?
Standard. Gosh, I haven't used it in aaaaaaaaaaaaaages.

16. Comet or Soft Scrub?
Soft scrub!

17. Is your closet organized?
The ones I have control over, yes.

18. What color is the flashlight that you use the most?
Blue. (It's a wind-up. Very, very useful things those!)

19. What kinds of things are in your junk drawer?
Socks. Outlets. Light bulbs. And random junk.

20. Do you drink out of glass or plastic most of the time at home?
Glass or ceramic as much as possible.

21. Do you have iced tea made in a pitcher right now?
Nope. Tea is supposed to be served hot.

22. If you have a garage, is it cluttered?
No garage.

23. Curtains or blinds?
Depends. Living room only has blinds (cellular), while both bedrooms have blinds for privacy and insulated curtains for warmth. It gets cold here.

24. How many pillows do you sleep with?
Depends on whether Geoff's here. Usually one.

25. Do you sleep with any lights on at night?
Unfortunately. The hall bathroom light remains on for Page's sake.

26. How many ceiling fans are in your home?
One.

27. How often do you vacuum?
I'm trying to establish a once-a-week rule. Geoff doesn't understand it, though.

28. What color is your toothbrush?
White and green.

It doesn't say welcome, but there's a mat.

The racks.

Yep.

33. Chore you hate doing the most?
Dusting. Or scrubbing behind the toilets...

Erm... Loads of LPs, lava lamp, VCRs and VHS tapes, cassette tapes... No 8-track machine or tapes, though...

35. Do you have a separate room that you use as an office?
Sort of. I call my wood workshop my office, but really it's the workshop/storage room. My computer is not in there.

36. If you have a yard, who mows it?
I do most of the time.

37. Is there anything on your kitchen floor right now?
Um... yeah.

38. How many mirrors are in your home?
Eight. Five are useful.

39. Do you have any hidden emergency money around your home?
Not really.

40. What color are your walls?
Every room is different. Living room is a lovely pale, butter yellow, kitchen is white and dark, chocolaty red, basement is sea green (and original from when we bought the place), my bedroom is... a sunset with a night-sky ceiling, Page's room is very pale blue with a big green bear, and the upstairs bathroom is paint-tape blue and mishmash of greens (which looks way better than it sounds).

41. Which rooms in your house have wallpaper?
Downstairs powder room. It's the only one left to go...

42. Do you have a peephole in your front door?
No, but there's a semi-circle of windows at the top, and are completely useless as far as seeing visitors goes.

43. Do you keep any kind of protection weapons in your home?
A baseball bat. Butcher knives. Circular saw... Spoons.

44. What does your home smell like right now?
Don't know. Can't smell at the moment.

45. Favorite candle scent?
Vanilla, but any scented candles make me wheeze, so I don't sniff 'em anymore.

46. What kind of pickles (if any) are in your refrigerator right now?
None. *sniffs*

47. Who are in the pictures you displayed?
Erm... Well, there's a couple of Page, an amusing wedding photo of us (sans heads), my youngest niece, eldest nephew, a painted portrait of my dad... that's about it, I think. Oh, and one of me holding newborn!Page next to Bearnard the green bear.

48. What color is your favorite bible?
I don't have a favorite Bible (though I did have an interesting, if odd, dream about a Bible study club held at my UU church, and in the meeting we were supposed to bring our favorite Bible to show. I hadn't brought one, not knowing what was going on, but decided in the dream that my favorite holy book was my grandmum's old Anglican hymnal. It's black).

49. Do you have plenty of cabinet space in your kitchen?
No, but I have just barely enough.

50. Ever been on your roof?
No.

51. Do you own a stereo?
Yes.

52. How many TVs do you have?
Three, though two are in storage, and all are old.

Three now! (used to be one)

Ick, I forgot about scrubbing behind the toilet. I usually just run the mop up the sides and kind of mash it behind, but there's always that spot in the center that only gets clean when you're on your hands and knees.

54. I'd love to have a house elf! I would name him George, and I would hug him and pet him and squeeze him. It'd be fantastic to come home and find the dishes done -- even the plate with mozzarella stuck to it would be clean. (I love pizza, but I hate cleaning up after it.)

Yeah, that's what I do, too, but every now and then... Bleh.

Wouldn't it be wonderful? I don't think I actually have enough work for a full-time house elf, so how about, when someone does give me one, we share? :-D

Absolutely! The hobbit hole is a four-room apartment, if you don't count the pantry or hall, so there isn't much work for a house-elf here. Sharing would work out very nicely, if the house-elf is amenable, especially since they can Apparate.
