T-minus 2 hours

I have been counting down the hours of this day since I got up.
Geoff's plane gets in at 11:30. Hopefully he'll be on board. His plane was late arriving at Dulles, though, and Dulles is a bitch and a half to catch connections at, even when you have loads of time.
*crosses fingers, toes and eyes*
At least I'm not responsible for picking him up, either way.
In other non-news, I got almost nothing from my to do list done. I did manage to finish reading the chapter that was due last Tuesday. There's a quiz tomorrow on it, so there was a bit of motivation.
I also got my science homework done. It took three hours to answer 45 questions. I shit you not. And with those three hours I only got a 97%. Granted, I'm pissed at that homework as one of the questions had no correct answer.
Which is a typical function of lysosomes?
1. breaking down of damaged organelles, such as chloroplasts
2. keeping bacteria within a safe, contained environment
3. rebuilding macromolecules, such as glycoproteins
4. storage of food particles for energy purposes
They listed #1 as the correct answer, because yes, a lysosome's typical function is to break down damaged organelles. Thing is? There ain't no "typical" about a lysosome ever even interacting with a chloroplast, let alone breaking it down, as lysosomes are only found in animals and chloroplasts in plants. (Well, I am sure there are rare exceptions, but they sure as hell aren't TYPICAL.)
*growls*
There was another question (that, yes, I got wrong) that had two correct answers, with no way to really deduce which was the preferred answer from the phrasing of the question. That one also annoyed me, but not as much as the one above (ie not enough to go to the trouble of finding, copying and pasting and complaining about it. Because, yes, I DID use that "provide feedback" link of the homework site's!).
I got partial points for both problems (actually, for all of my wrong answers), but that's not the point. Er... That's not my problem... Oh, you know what I mean. It's about the use of lazy English.
*looks around shifty-like*
At least no one's grade depends on my lazy English!
*bites lip*
Well, Geoff's plane has departed and I haven't received a phone call. I sure hope that means he's on it (and not that I'm not giving him enough time to catch the one other flight home tonight).
I miss him so much. Even if I know that I'm going to be annoyed with him by lunchtime tomorrow for his lack of verve... ;-)
