This weekend is not going to go how I want it to go.
What I wanted:
- Some reviewing of finals material at an easy pace
- some cleaning up of the pit that is our home
- some digging in the garden
- some family time
- some alone time
- LOTS of sleep
What's going to happen:
- Read two new chapters in biology, the second of which only the first quarter was covered in class. Today.
- Do two sets of online homework (they clock in at about 2 hours each)
- review every chapter we've covered
- review accounting tests
- Crashand burn.
It doesn't help that Geoff missed his early plane home today (no surprise), so that means this afternoon is going to be all on me where Page is concerned (and, damn, but he was a brat this morning, so I am not looking forward to that) instead of doing anything concerning my priorities, like studying. Probably a good bit of tomorrow will be, as well. This work site he's returning from is always a bitch where sleep is concerned.
Also, the check engine light flipped on this morning. Not happy, especially as tuition for summer school is due next week.
Good things. Right. What are the good things...
- My jaw swelling is definitely going down (I have a cheekbone divot again!), and it's a heck of a lot less painful today. So definitely a bacterial infection, methinks. Glad I went to the doctor.
- Related: A return to health, however slowly.
- New England is fucking gorgeous in the spring.
- There are still leftovers, so little to no cooking is required of me at this point.
- There are only finals left for this semester, and only two of those.
- Tzatziki. (If I'm going to be bad and eat yogurt, I am going to do it so that it tastes AWESOME, dammit!)
- A full fridge, freezer and pantry.
There. That'll have to do. Didn't improve my mood much, though. I think I'll go have a cup of tea to see if that helps.
*grumbles about teachers and finals and cars* (*oh my*)
On a fairly unrelated note, would you say the word "Lion" has one syllable or two? The way I say it, it has 2. Kind of. (More like 1.5.) But it definitely doesn't have just 1, because then it would be pronounced "line". Does anyone out there pronounce it like that?
