Having recently been chastised for not taking other people's feelings and opinions into consideration, I thought it prudent to consult you on how you wish to “make a day of it.”

If you have any specific ideas or desires pertaining to luncheon, please let me know at once, for I have taken the liberty of making reservations at Les Cuisinart to celebrate the acquisition of your new wand, pending your approval, of course. If you would rather partake of lesser foods, I will humbly bow to your wishes.
