Instead I will talk about my big ol' mouth. Specifically the misbehaving teeth in it.
I went to the dentist today to get three fillings (2 small new ones and 1 very large refill), and I must say it's a good thing I'm not phobic about the dentist (except the financial aspect, to a degree). I have to get work done so often... And today's was... well, relatively painless. I asked for a double dose of novocaine straight off, and when they started drilling, it was still a bit nervy but nothing to scream about. And by the time they finished, boy was my face numb. (There were four shots of novocaine all on one side.)
So numb, I decided to just go back to bed to sleep it off, as I couldn't even drink water without dribbling.
And, now that I'm awake, I aches, precious.
I hate getting dental work done, and there's so damn little I can do about avoiding it. Fluoride gives me a rash, the fake saliva stuff is either dairy-based and/or worthless, and... well, yeah. Sometimes I wish I could just get falsies and be done with it, except I know that falsies would be horrible for someone with a connective tissue disorder AND Sjogren's. OMG, the thought of the constant inflammation caused by them is enough to make me floss very regularly.
will feel better without it. My teeth will look better without it, too. ;-)
And in non-body related news, my garden is coming along apace. I still haven't taken pictures of it because it's been raining, my camera battery was charging, or somesuch (like being tired from working in it), but I will. Especially now that the irises have started blooming. Good god, ya'll, they are... tall. And it looks like they won't need staking! Yay, good dirt!
But, yeah, I've got lots to take pictures of when I can give a care to the photography element. So much progress to capture! Granted, one of the reason I'm holding off is because I want to photograph it when it's done! But, well, I don't know if that will ever come to pass, so I'd better start photographing now...
And, that's that. Should try to get something done today, besides my teeth. And I only have an hour to myself left before I go pick up Page. But it's amazing how much can be accomplished in an hour. So off I go.
