Resolutions and a birthday gift for
keladry_lupin
Jan. 13th, 2007 05:39 pmOne of the many resolutions I decided to make, despite my better judgment, is to create and finish at least one relatively major piece of art (i.e. something that requires a sketch, but not the sketch itself) a week (any medium). The portrait of my dad was week 1's painting.
And so, with apologies to
mundungus42 (I have NOT forgotten my promise of a birthday fic! It's just... stalled at the moment), here is week 2's piece:

"Kindred"
Graphite sketch colored and finished with GIMP
Scene from "She Was Beautiful to Him." This is the scene that has stuck with me ever since first reading the story, albeit I remembered it slightly differently, so this isn't quite how I envisioned it. *shrug*
I hope you like it, Kel!
One of these days I'll actually read the manual for GIMP so that I can use it more effectively.
