The HP Male Marriage Quiz made by Sapphire.
It may be late, but I want to play this, too. So, leave me a comment and I'll:
1) Tell you why I friended you
2) Associate you with a song/movie
3) Tell a random fact about you
4) Tell a first memory about you
5) Associate you with an animal/fruit
6) Ask something I've always wanted to know about you
7) In retort, you MUST spread this disease in your LJ
PS: Thank you, all. Just venting helped, but your kind comments really helped to restore a calmer state of mind. *kisses f-list*
Oh, and chapter 15 has gone to Southern, so it shouldn't be too long now. :-)

Date: 2007-01-26 10:24 pm (UTC)2. Twinkle Twinkle Little Star
3. You are terribly punny.
4. You first came to my notice with your story, "Down the Ferret Hole," and I remember thinking that it was simply brilliant, and so very Carrollesque.
5. Dolphin. Or seal. I think porpose, as they're more good natured.
6. Is your lj a good representation of who you are, or is it only the wacky, good natured facet that shows?

Date: 2007-01-26 11:26 pm (UTC)You made an excellent choice in an aquatic animal- not only have I had an affinity for water since I was two, I also had raw fish for lunch today!
I'd say my LJ has a better temper but is more boring than I am in real life, which I think is due to the fact that I think before I blog and I don't blog unless I have something to say. Let's just say I don't always do that with speaking. As for the wackiness, a good amount gets lost in translation, and some things would take entirely too long to describe. Fortunately, there is no shortage of wacky goings-on in my life. :D

Date: 2007-01-27 01:28 am (UTC)2. Bohemian Rhapsody. Not so much a reflection on you as much as your work, though.
3. You travel a lot. (sorry, mind's kinda blank at the moment)
4. I don't think it was the first memory, but I finally opened up one of your fic recs and went "Wow! This girl's got taste."
5. Guava popped into my head for some reason. It refuses to go away, so I guess guava it is.
6. What brought you into the fandom?

Date: 2007-01-27 01:35 am (UTC)6. Well, I read ST fanfic and was a voracious reader of Mulder/Scully X-Files fic. Then I happened across a Hermione/Harry and was IMMEDIATELY squicked. Then I got hooked into Alan Rickman, and therefore decided to try a Snape fic. Figuring I'd rather read adults than kids... and read a SS/OFC and then moved eventually into SS/HG once I realised that many of them were not Hermione-as-a-student shagging her professor as most of them were. Not that I have a problem with those fics---but if that's the FOCUS of the piece and its a terribly written PWP... I run fast. If its a compelling, well written read, I can totally be converted! :)

Date: 2007-01-27 01:44 am (UTC)Right.
1. Because you friended me. I wouldn't have otherwise, as I was in awe of you and your fanbase.
2. Muppet Christmas Carol. Don't know why, just do.
3. You live with your mom.
4. Wasn't the first, but I remember reviewng "Beautiful" on OWL, and you responded with "Are you the same avery as the one who has four stories on Ashwinder?" I was blown away. And very, very flattered.
5. I want to say raven, but that's not quite right. Possibly a seagull... no. A white bird, anyway.
6. What do you think of "Gone with the Wind?"

Date: 2007-01-30 06:38 am (UTC)Thanks for saving Remus for me!
Muppet Christmas Carol makes sense. It's my birthday, after all, and I've probably mentioned the Muppet Christmas music (they did an album with John Denver, back in the 1970s) at some point.
Yes, I live with my mom. *sigh* She's making noises like she's moving out soon, so I'm keeping my fingers crosses.
6: Book or movie?
no subject
Date: 2007-02-08 02:57 am (UTC)Maybe your birthday did subliminally influence me...
Ooh! Noises? That's hopeful!
*shrugs* Both, either.

Date: 2007-02-08 09:35 pm (UTC)The living room, kitchen, and bathroom won't change much (I am renting, after all), but I want to make at least one room (the bedroom) completely different. New colors, new setup, everything.

Date: 2007-01-27 08:59 pm (UTC)No, neither will do. I always thought the Weasley twins were the most attractive characters in the novel and would surely have crushed on them had we gone to Hogwarts in the same period.
I can not bring myself to do fanfic (in fact, I have come to find the actual novels exhausting) but I realized IF I wrote fanfic, it would be from the pov of a brilliant girl student who was in Gryffindor and had come to hate Harry because he took up all the oxygen in the room. A sort of alter-ego Hermione who has dedicated her entire life to bringing HP down, and it is only once she is deep in the plot with the people who side with Dare Not Speak His Name (or whatever they call him) that she realizes what a horrible thing she has done.

Date: 2007-01-27 10:56 pm (UTC)I agree about the twins. I'm partial to George, myself. Probably one of the reasons I don't write him into my stories.
The novels are getting exhausting, aren't they? I enjoyed the first four so much (although I find I cannot reread the second one anymore. Something about it bugs me too much for enjoyment), but...
As for that story idea, isn't that basically Snape's backstory? Except that he's a he, of course.

1) Tell you why I friended you: Because you intrigued me, especially when I checked out your LJ and found that you were virtually a newbie. I thought I was the last one to join this throng! :-)
2) Associate you with a song/movie: Singing In the Rain... I think it's the icon.
3) Tell a random fact about you: You have two very cute daughters.
4) Tell a first memory about you: Specific? Fraid I can't, but my first recollection of you was a review you left of Marry A Choice on OWL. As I recall, you seemed to like it.
5) Associate you with an animal/fruit: kiwi. No idea why.
6) Ask something I've always wanted to know about you: What did you want to be when you were 16?
