Okay, I'm trying to make a ribbing effect thingy. k2/p2 etc.

My question: Whatever pattern I choose for the first row, I do the reverse (row 1: k2/p2. row 2: p2/k2) for the next row, correct? And if it were a different pattern, like k2/p1 etc., the next row would be p2/k1?

For a k2/p2 rib pattern, if you have an even pattern where the last two stitches were p2, then you would start with a k2 again on the row back to get a rib pattern. (basically every stitch that was a knit on the front row will get a purl on the back row, and vice versa)

That's what I thought! But I was doing that and it was just looking like a mess. Hmph. Must refine technique.

Thank you!
