Epilogue up!

Oh, for anyone who isn't aware of the fact, Marry a Choice's epilogue has been posted at The Petulant Poetess, and is in queue at Ashwinder. It's also up at FFN. Now I just have to remember to post it at AFF... right.
As for the sequel... grrr. I am pretty sure that, even though this is the first time I've written smut, it's also going to be the last time. To damn hard, and my writing goes to crap whenever it gets somewhat steamy. It's nearly 8000 words so far, though. Hopefully I'll won't have to chuck them all.
Maybe this is a good time to warn ya'll that the sequel is much less subtle in its parodying. DH was pestering me so much about the vocab used in writing smut, that I've actually managed to insert the phrase "turgid member." Hopefully it works (as comedy, not description). When I finish this blasted chapter, then it's off to the betas to see if it's decent. When I finish...
Had I mentioned that I expected this to be a shortish sequel? Had I mentioned that I wanted it to be a one-shot? Have I mentioned that I'm not even half way through the wedding night, and it's already eight friggin thousand words? Have I mentioned that there isn't a good point for a chapter break yet? I hope it doesn't end up the length of MaC... that took way to long to post!
Anyway... Maybe I'll work some more on Snape's Journal. That's nice and ... platonic.
Well, I just saw DH off. Saying goodbye made me all weepy. Hopefully his trip will be as short as it's scheduled to be. Fortunately, his visa is only for a week, so he'll probably get out before it expires. Hopefully he can get his prescription filled down there. It would be really sucky for him to have withdrawal "brain shivers" while trying to train a bunch of Brazilians how to use this complicated program.
After waving goodbye, I came down here to write up our Christmas lists, and a couple other emails, and I found the PERFECT gift for DH. (Weepy feeling disappears in a fit of glee) This is something he's been wanting for at least four years, and sometime in the last three it's become available. Heeheehee. He's going to be happy about this one, I know it! Now I just have to figure out what to get his family... and my dad... and my BIL... and my SIL's mother...
Could be worse. I just wish there was time to make presents for everyone, but oil takes too long to dry, especially if there's shipping involved. (and no, I will not use acrylic! It's like painting with plastic, which is, in effect, true.) And the weather has become to cold to do pastels (not exposing Babe to that dust)... I suck at watercolors... Drawings... ergh, no. Sigh.
Now I suppose I should go finish my sister's present. Or at least attempt to, anyway.

Granger's still not eating. Her chuckleheaded friends seem to have finally noticed, though. Not that they're doing anything about it. All they're doing is looking worried, for all the good that's going to do!
