I really recommend The Apothecary's Assistant – or – Witch Austen's Revenge. Really recommend it.
Not only does it have the best first line since Pride and Prejudice, but the author of this piece puts Hermione in Pride and Prejudice, but as Mary, not Lizzy! (That's the first chapter reveal, so no spoilers there.)
It's fabulous.
Go read. Enjoy. Give love.

Trying to decide whether to read Margaret Atwood's The Year of the Flood or not. It's supposedly a side-story to Oryx and Crake, which I haven't read and haven't decided whether I want to read or not. I'm really not into dystopian worlds at the moment. Reality is a little too dystopian to my taste, and, unfortunately, I know from experience that fantasy about something like that can hurt me, even if it's not of my creation.
Don' know. I'll read another few chapters and see if I care about it one way or the other. If I don't, or it's too disturbing, I'll just return it to the library for my friend and tell her I'm not doing dark these days.
But now I guess I need to figure out what's for dinner, what needs to be done tomorrow morning cleaning-wise, and sketch out the OM. Or the OM's grid. That in itself would be an accomplishment.
Happy weekend!
