He pooped in the pot! He pooped in the pot! And without prompting! He didn't even ask for a diaper first!

Granted that tomorrow he won't be doing naked time, but maybe, if I explain it to him well enough, he'll ask to use the bathroom rather than use his diaper (or underwear)? Please?

Sorry if this grosses you out, but he's over three-and-a-half now. It's past the time of hope and into that of desperation. The fact that there is hope is making me giddy.

Wooo hoo!! That is a very big deal. My youngest (who just turned seven today) was also that age before he finally started #2 in the potty. It seemed like once he got hte hang of it, it happened very quickly that he was using the potty full time. There is hope!

It is! So far, he hasn't but the hope is there, so... I think he'll be able to go to preschool this fall, and that's the really important thing!

I was very very late potty-training. For serious, I went to nursery school in diapers. I remember finally training with Dead Brother, who was 17 mos my junior.

Naked time works a treat. There will be (have been) accidents, but so far it's working for Babe, and I bet it would work for Woo, too.

How old is Woo, though? Girls are mostly earlier than boys, but it's rare for them to be ready before they're two. My eldest niece was at least four before she was fully potty trained...

Well, for those who aren't mothers and don't want to be, I imagine it is fairly gross. I think no parent actually believes that they will be as potty obsessed as everyone says they'll be, but... It's shocking, really.

Babe is getting there. Right now it's a matter of constant vigilance on my part, and not just going the easy route of putting him in diapers. Sometimes it's harder than others, though.

Indeed! When he's naked, he doesn't seem to have a problem, but he doesn't seem to mind wearing soiled or wet diapers, so... But he'll get there. He will. :-)

I'm not sure it's the hardest part, but it definitely can be one of the most frustrating parts. Unfortunately, it's not over yet, but we'll get there!
