Well, I'm about halfway through writing the first draft of the last
chapter of MAC, and I'm snickering with evil delight. I haven't
decided whether or not to make it into two chapters or not, though it's
possible I might need to due to length concerns. Already it's
about 5000 words. I guess it depends on how long the second part
is. If I make it two chapters the readers are going to lynch
me. Hehehe. (My mantra today is: I am not a tease. I am not a tease.)
Maybe today, instead of writing the last half of the chapter I'll revise the "article" my mum wants me to write. I'll have to research length requirements of most magazines, but I could probably cut it down (and definitely expand) if necessary. I s'pose. I guess it depends on how I feel and how much work Babe lets me do. I should also write my next newsletter... Hmm, so much to write, and so few prepositions to end with.
Oh, and I'm so excited! Babe can go down the stairs properly now! I started going downstairs this morning letting him follow me, and sure enough instead of crawling up to the edge of the stairs and cautiously peering over while pawing experimentally at the air, he turned around like a good boy and carefully slipped his knee over the edge till he could feel the next step with his toes, and then brought his other knee down. I still have to watch him, as he has the tendency to get excited and start bouncing wildly in the middle of climbing, though. He almost lost his balance twice in the climb down this morning. Very scary.
I guess I'll get to work now. Maybe I can avoid vacuuming for yet another day?
