PSA: Castle

Does anyone else watch it? I'm kinda wondering after the really odd and pitiful selection of ads that were shown with it last night.

I like it. Granted, I'm rather fond of Nathan Fillian (Capt. Mal), and he's adorable in his role as Castle. Equal parts egotistical writer, caring father and enthusiastic puppy dog.

Anyway, if you aren't watching it, I highly recommend it because the writing is sharp (banter! with actual wit!), the cases are, for the most part, interesting (if obvious; I'm not watching it for the mystery) and Castle's family ('real' daughter (not a stereotype) and faaahhbulous outlandish mother) is a wonderful counterpoint to the grime of the police scenes.

Watched the first season, but can't stand the female detective, so I let the show slip.

Yeah, I've got mixed feelings about her, though from what I've seen, she's much better second season (which is mostly what I've watched).

See, I really like her. I loved the one epsisode where she's being all hard assed and then takes his book about her to a bubble bath!

I love Castle! I don't talk about it much (because there's not a lot to talk about, really), but Beckett's personality has definitely grown since 1st season, and the Castle family dynamics are awesome.

Also, Ryan and Esposito are the Best Backup Cops Ever.

I love it liek woah. LOL Seriously, it's one of my fave shows. And Nathan just tweeted today that it got picked up for a third season! *happy dances for anything that gives us more Nathan* :D

I LOVE CASTLE - although I've not yet had time to watch this week's episode (I watch them online)

For me, I watch it first for the writing, then the cast - I LOVE his daughter!! I tell everyone about how real the character is as a reason to watch.

I not only watch Castle but I follow him on Twitter. He solved some mystery on there during the summer re-run series. I haven't decided if I will actually read the book though. I'd love to hear if it's worth it if anyone has read it.
