Yesterday I was guilt-tripped into going to church. It was good to go, however, even if it was a bit overwhelming emotionally. While there, I got to talk with a landscape architect about sources for large rocks/small boulders for my garden plan and, after asking me several questions, she said, "I have a huge pile of that kind of rock sitting in a corner of my yard. You would be doing me a huge favor if you took them." So YAY! Free rocks! And I get to look at her (professionally by her) landscaped yard! *bounces*

And, related to that, I was able to get out and mark my plans in the yard with the hoses, and I do believe it will work out quite nicely. I hope there will be enough free rocks to make the planned 'walls' a little more substantial and purdy-like.

It's the first day of Spring. The trees will start budding noticeably within the next two weeks and then suddenly burst into bloom a week later. Already there are signs of life around town, as the snow fades away to reveal emerging crocuses and snowdrops.

I slept a solid eight hours plus last night. I'm still tired, but I might be able to get by with only a short nap today, rather than an hours' long sleep like I've been needing every other day.

I'm finally going to the BMFA tomorrow! I've lived here for almost 9 years, and I have not visited one art museum the entire time. And there are several really, really good museums around here. (Next after this one will be the Isabella Stewart Gardner; I hear it has an excellent collection of John Singer Sargent's work.)

I should be getting my new glasses this week.

Hmm... what else? I'm going to try making sauerkraut this week, if not today, and I'll be getting some napa cabbage to make more kim chee later this week so that I can go off dairy while still getting the needed probiotics. Hopefully that will help my sinuses ease up. I might try making goat's milk yogurt or coconut milk yogurt eventually, but I'm kinda ambivalent about them.

Last thing is something I've probably mentioned before, but it's just so cool: I can put broccoli into Page's lunch, and he'll eat it! He loves broccoli and kale chips. Isn't that just so cool?
