The forgetting pill.

Beyond being cool science, it made me think of how wrong JK got it (or how evilly right she wrote Dumbledore) in Harry's "treatment" for all the trauma he experienced.

Almost makes me want to write post-Hogwarts Harry fic showing how his life went down the tubes due to PTSD made worse by Dumbledore's efforts of remediation.

Almost.

So most of this --- other than the drug treatment aspect --- I already knew. I feel like I should have a smarter response, but don't. Interestingly, with or without drugs, it still speaks to the way that narrative shapes a life.
