YAY!!!!!!!
Oct. 10th, 2006 02:32 pmThis is the first post made from the new computer. The shiny new computer that refused to work with the internet, even after we got a router. I guess the router was homesick and needed a time of adjustment before deciding to work properly. Nothing else changed.
So, in celebration of this momentous occasion, here is a tip of culinary decadence: White stilton with lemon goes FANTASTICALLY with apple pie, especially if the pie is on the tart side. Just serve on the side of the pie or crumbled on top of it. Deliciousness will ensue, I promise you.

Date: 2006-10-10 03:55 pm (UTC)When I was little, and read Tasha Tudor's "A Time to Keep," one of the images that stood out was that cheese was served with apple pie. As an ritual partaker of pie a'la mode, it struck me as blasphemy. Now that I'm a pseudo-adult, the thought of lemon stilton paired with apple pie sends me into orbit. Yum! Than you so much for the tip! I'm always looking for new ways to enjoy cheese!

Extra, extra sharp cheddar. I still don't like cheddar, and although I'll admit it goes well with apples... *shudders*
