Over the last few days I have:
- Made kimchi (5 bottles - approx. 4 lbs worth)
- Made cabbage rolls
- Started the bison stock
- Cleaned most of the house (with help)
- Moved at least 1 cu. yard (might have been closer to 2) of compost to nearly empty planter box; smoothed out half of the remaining pile into something resembling a garden patch rather than a (black) termite mound
- Weeded the back lawn
- Managed the boys into doing stuff (Geoff mowed the lawns, took out the A/C units, dusted and cleaned a bathroom while Page picked up his room, sorted his laundry, stripped his bed and put away his clean clothes)
- Roasted 2 chickens (too bad the gravy wasn't great)
- Made clean-out-the-fridge soup. It was really quite yummy (if you like ginger).
- (Informally) tested my old camera against my new camera. Yeah, new camera is much better, especially at high ISOs. Still selling it in December.
- Did a page or so of reading/note taking.
- Went to church. Early. For unpleasant reasons. Fortunately, it wasn't as bad as I was expecting, so that was good.
- Slept for 8 hours every night (by going to bed eeeeaaaarly!)
I'm tired. ;-)
Geoff is leaving for Brazil tomorrow afternoon, so that's unpleasant, but Page and I will deal. (And hey, it means that much less cooking will need to be done! That's a definite plus!)
I just hope I'll be able to use the beautiful, wonderful, early-Fall weather to finish my back garden, including transplanting all my plants into their spots. Without injuring myself again. After school, it's my highest priority. After all, Fall is here, which means winter is just around the corner.
Anyway, that's the state of me right now. I'd better serve up dinner now, though.
