My friend whose uterus is revolting is going into surgery on Thursday. She has asked for help blessing the surgeon, his staff, and each of the units of blood she'll receive in preparation for the surgery.
Prayers, good thoughts, and blessings ascending. And, as one whose uterus once revolted and was thenceforth excised, some good advice: Don't push your recovery. Let it happen bit by bit. The faster you push yourself to come back after your surgery, the more you'll pay for it later. (says the woman who went to work four days after - I KNOW.)
Thank you! Yes, we (her friends and family) will definitely be making sure she doesn't have to push herself! Fortunately, she has a pretty good sense of recovery needs.
(Geoff knew a woman who, one week after her surgery, went mountain biking. *rolls eyes* Work is understandable, but biking? Really?)
Prefacing this with I am not Christian/Monotheistic. If she doesn't mind the prayers I would be happy to do a ritual for her. If she does mind I am not at all offended and will be keeping her in my thoughts.
PS Good for her on taking that step! I know when I needed my tonsils out I managed to put it off for over a year because I was so scared (despite ending up in the ER from infected tonsils more than once).
She's been putting this off for more than a year or two. But in the last 2 weeks, she's been to the ER three times needing transfusions... It's definitely a mind-changer, that. Scary, scary stuff.
