What prompts this bout of mirth, you might ask? Irony. It seems I really am allergic to the type of bandage they use at the doctor's office (and hospital). I now have hives right next to the raw, red spot above my ankle. Fortunately, it itched enough for me to remove the bandage before the skin got so irritated that it decided to just abandon me, like it did last time I had this type of bandage on for lengthy periods. One raw, red spot is enough, thank you.

Perhaps that isn't irony, but it's close enough for me to call it as such.

I hate allergies. I really, really do.

1. Use fanfiction.net's Search Story By Summary and look up your name in Harry Potter.

2. If there are any Mary Sues that share your name, pick the worst-sounding ones and post the summary.

Not surprisingly, there are a lot of stories with a character named Elizabeth.  Even narrowing it down to only English didn't help much.  So, here are the top five of the first page.

Her Disease  Elizabeth is a student in the Hogwarts house Gryffindor. She struggles with a hidden darkness, so titled Anorexia Nervosa. She's not famous, nor is she brilliant. All she wants is recognition. Anorexia warning.

The Demon Princess   Elizabeth is not your average girl, or even your average witch. She has a power within her...power enough to upset the balance of the cosmos.

Hope   There is a mysterious girl at Hogwarts named Elizabeth. She has a secret that can change the past, present, and future. Change in rating now T not M

Harry Potter and the Caribbean Phantom   Jack, Will and Elizabeth all go to Hogwarts.love triangle is formed when Elizabeth hears voices from the chamber of secrets Jack is essentially Harry, Will is Ron and Liz is Hermione. With cameo appearances by characters by all movies.

Meeting Elizabeth and Jane  What if you were Lord Voldemort’s grandchildren, Elizabeth and Jane are. Full summery inside. FredOCGeorgeOC

Oh, and I included this one because the summary (ahem) amused me:

Saints and Slytherins

A dysfunctional story of love, drunks, dead bodies, and knitting betwixt two equally deranged people named Draco and Hermione. Beware! Witty verbiage! Pill popping Severus Elizabeth Snape! And kissing saints!

Okay, I'm trying to make a ribbing effect thingy. k2/p2 etc.

My question: Whatever pattern I choose for the first row, I do the reverse (row 1: k2/p2. row 2: p2/k2) for the next row, correct? And if it were a different pattern, like k2/p1 etc., the next row would be p2/k1?

So Babe is... getting close to three. He's usually the sweetest child in existence, enough so that I actually tolerate him most of the time. Yes, hormones do factor into that statement, but he is universally loved in the neighborhood by children and grown-ups alike. (Well, Small A doesn't like him, but he's such a brat that his opinion doesn't count.) If he weren't my kid, I might actually consider babysitting him once in a while. He's that cute.

People sometimes ask if I'm going to have another.

HA!

On the other side of things, this coming week, I'll be going off to work while Geoff stays home to look after the big baby.  I have a feeling I'm getting the better end of the deal, although I am getting nervous about it.   I hope I can pull it off (the mural, not the being away from Babe.  That will be no problem whatsover).
