It's a good thing I have a double, as I wouldn't be able to instill fear, respect or loathing in anyone today. And Evil Overlords do so hate pity. Unless given by their mummy, of course.

Does the banking industry (and governments who allow this) honestly not get how angry the people are? And that there are at least five million of those people right now and likely to be more soon?

Seriously.

Think, people. Think!

Well, at least one thing is off my mind now. Babe has been having a rough week and a half, starting last Monday. I still can't believe he actually hit another boy without provocation, but there you have it. However, because of the hitting incident (everything else is perfectly normal, if not annoying as hell), I emailed his teacher to ask her opinion about whether he is actually ready for school. She finally got back to me (computer problems delayed her) and reassured me that he's definitely ready.

Which is a relief.

On [livejournal.com profile] timestep's friend's advice, I picked up "Positive Discipline" by Jane Nelson and have been reading it in my spare time, mostly in the bathroom. It's a book both Geoff and I need to read to be really effective, but I think it will help. Maybe. He's a stubborn sod (he gets it from me), and I'm tired so much of the time... (How awful it must be for him to have such tired parents. Especially introverted, tired parents.) But. We'll get there. Figuring out how to diffuse and get rid of the power struggles will be the biggest problem, but I do think we'll get there. The book's advice is sound.
