Here are a few more drabbles. Part one is here.
Still PG.
Still Drama/suspense, though I'll be adding to that list soonish.
Word count is 100 x 6 + a few (the last one ran over.)

The first week was the worst. ... )

Title: The Prince's Wood
Rating so far: PG
Genre: Drama/Suspense
Word count: 100 x 12
Notes: DH disregarded.
AN: This is almost certainly only part one, but I've run out of time and energy to write further on it today, and I think it can stand on its own as it is. I hope. Anyway, it comes from [livejournal.com profile] duniazade's request for something involving "The Prince's Wood" which was terribly appropriate. ;-)

Still in a piss poor mood. Actually, it's probably worse as a headache has descended along with utter exhaustion. After I post this and the next segment of story, I'm off to bed. Or tv room. Although I've been too prone to cold for much basement lounging.

Anyway, I decided to keep boredom at bay by pulling out one of my unfinished files and playing with it. GIMPing is an easy way to spend a lot of time... and it's fun as long as the mouse keeps moving as I want it to. (Grr.)

Want to know what Snape's personal hell looks like? Read "Snapewatch". It's really, really funny (there were a couple of moments I was really glad I wasn't eating or drinking anything) in a way that inspires compassion for poor Snape.

Seriously good read!

Holy crap, friends! Perhaps it's just the late hour making me more suceptible than usual, but I highly, highly recommend you run over and read The Room of Lost Dreams on the exchange. Seriously brilliant story. It explains everything. Perfectly.

Prompt: Crookshanks, poor thing, has gone to a better world, and Hermione gets herself a new pet. The chemistry between Severus and her new pet isn't quite what she wished for.

I swear I'll think of something else, but this popped into my head and ... well ... I'm so sorry! )

Prompt: Hermione has a cold. She's not battling bravely on, but feeling very sorry for herself. Someone offers to soothe her fevered brow.

And it isn't Ron

I perhaps didn't stick to the prompt all that well, but it kinda just came out this way. And refused to stop coming.

So, anyway here you go.

First, I'd like to mention that my scabiosa, which was looking like it had a week to go before it bloomed for the very first time, was broken off. Smashed to the ground. Sundered. I am less than pleased. I do not want to have to resort to those 2' high wire fences to protect my garden. They're ugly and tacky and I'd much prefer it if the kids (including my own) would just keep. off. the. bloody. garden.

Not pleased at all.

Second, I'm also not pleased about the picture behind the cut. I've decided that there are so many things inherently wrong with it that I'm not going to bother finishing it more than I already have. What bothers me about this failure is that I really like Snape's face. That and I've put an awful lot of hours into this and only in the last couple days have I realized that no matter how much I work on Hermione's face to make it look halfway decent, the picture is still buggered due to other (numerous) factors.

This doesn't please me, either.

I think I'm going to go have a chocolate cookie and go soak my head. Or similar.

Still not done completely, but I think it's working a little better now.

Dear Heart )

I'm satisfied enough that I've put it up on my deviant page along with a bit of story text.

Next up will probably be a cleaned up version of "The Book." Maybe.

Here's yet another bid for pity birthday reviews. These are unGIMPed, except to make them more visable. I will probably work on them later, especially "Dear Heart" as I'm still not happy with Hermione, but for now, here they are! And remember that they're better full sized, so click on the pic!

Now off to the airport to pick up Geoff.

This is another version of another pic I'm working on. I like this version possibly better than the first, but they have such very, very different feelings that... Yeah, well, here's 'This is not a love scene' )

Help?

Is there anyone out there who would be willing to critique my unfinished (i.e. really rough) SS/HG pic (the one this snippet belongs to)? There's something off about their legs, and I can't figure out what it is and Geoff is out of town so he can't attempt to tell me. Grr.

Please?

Here's an unfinished snippet of what I'm currently working on in-between playing with all those fabulous filters on the GIMP.

Snippet is work safe, though finished piece might be pushing it )
